Break Away From Limiting Thoughts

There are no limitations
To the Mind Except Those
We Acknowledge

Well, you must have also heard the expression ‘sky is the limit’ meaning just as the sky is infinite and has no limits our mind has no limits because it is akin to the sky and infinite. The limiting thoughts we entertain in our minds are the boundaries we set on ourselves. Once we acknowledge those limits then our subconscious mind operates within those limits because those are the limits set by the conscious mind. In fact our thoughts are like things in space. Just as clouds and rainfall,  come and go but the sky remains, our thoughts in our mind come and go, but the mind space (‘dahar Akasha’ inner space) itself remains. The beliefs we hold are like the compass for our actions. After all thoughts lead to actions. A belief is a bunch of thoughts reasoned out by the mind on the background of experience and accepted as such to be true. But when we become the conscious observer, we find that our beliefs change with our knowledge base of experience. So beliefs are also not permanent and eternal. What is eternal is only our consciousness which is independent of every thing else and is self evident existence. Mind you, it requires a lot of courage to stand on Self Reliance devoid of all beliefs. It is like the pilot who is flying a plane who has no compass to guage his location and steer the plane in the right direction because he has nothing to relate to. He is able to gage and steer the plane with the help of the compass. Similarly, we need beliefs to steer our life in the righteous direction with the flexibility to change our beliefs with circumstances and necessities in life all the way knowing that we can also make our beliefs manifest in reality, and always wish for one’s own welfare and humanity at large. We utter positive words such as ‘lokah samasta sukhino bhavantu, shanti, shanti, shantihi’ in Sanskrit, which means ‘may everyone in the world be happy and may there be universal peace!’.

Both Poverty and Riches are the
Offspring of Thought.

Knowing that our beliefs play out in our lives accordingly, the above statement is also very powerful. If we think we are poor, we cannot afford,we cannot make things happen, then those thoughts are limiting and depriving of our true potential. Those are ‘poor’ words and constricting us to those limitations.

Attract Success

Those thoughts that are offspring of riches are enriching words such as I am rich, I am affluent, I have abundance, I have potential to do great things, etc. You fill in the blanks. This also follows the law of attraction that everyone talks about. These thoughts are seeds to great things in life to which every one of us is an heir. Truly as James Allen said “As a man’s thoughts, so is he!

An excerpt from the book, “The aphorism, “As a man thinketh in his heart so is he,” not only embraces the whole of a man’s being, but is so comprehensive as to reach out to every condition and circumstance of his life. A man is literally what he thinks, his character being the complete sum of all his thoughts.

As the plant springs from, and could not be without, the seed, so every act of a man springs from the hidden seeds of thought, and could not have appeared without them. This applies equally to those acts called “spontaneousAs A Man ” and “unpremeditated” as to those which are deliberately executed.

Act is the blossom of thought, and joy and suffering are its fruits; thus does a man garner in the sweet and bitter fruitage of his own husbandry.”
